ZONK !

I couldn't help myself. I just had to make a red
and black Jewelry Box.
The red wood is called Red Heart from South
America, and the black is Wenge from West
Africa. These are the natural colors of these
woods. As usual I do not use any stains. If I
want a box to be a curtain color, I'll use a curtain
wood. One of you out there was with me when I
bought this wood. I warned you ... here it is. I also
used a little different style of handle.

Very beautiful! These woods together are like chocolate and peanut butter together: delicious.

@Supi -- Chocolate and peanut butter - which is pretty much nutella. Yum. <3

@Dust'n Lint -- *points at photo* There's snow in autumn! Beautiful shade of red, by the way. :)

Lola, "points at photo" ??? Do you mean what the box is on? That's OK ... here in Truckee it snows all year long. When people ask us when it stops snowing, we answer July 12th. And when they ask when it starts again, we answer July 13th.

You're from Canada? Awesome! Haha, and wow - all year long? I suppose snow isn't really all that special to you, huh? I love snow (winter). <3

You are a true artist.

My little box is a treasured decoration in my room, except when the little boys run off with it, I find it around the house on occasion.

Lola, it doesn't snow ALL year long, but it has snowed a couple of times on the 4th of July. It's also snowed 5 out of the last 10 Memorial Day Weekends.

I'm glad you enjoy it Opie. The kids probably like it because it looks like a little treasure box.
