The Last Show of the Season

Ah yes, this was the wrap up show of the summer arts and craft show season in the mountains. There were actually three shows in the north end of Lake Tahoe this Labor Day Weekend. There were also three at the south end of the lake I believe. At the north end we had Kings Beach, Northstar, and Downtown Truckee, which is where we were.

The show was an average recession show for us. At closing on Monday at 5:00 PM, you couldn’t wipe the smiles off of Sue’s and my faces. Now it’s time to build our inventories.

Enjoy the shots of beautiful Downtown Truckee ...

I have fond memories of Truckee area. It was the last camping adventure I took with my dad and my mom. Man it was one humdinger of a trip. lol.

Sonia, I have some great camping and fishing memories with the family here too. The difference being they're still going on. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself here.

Sept. 15th? Whoa, I can't believe I haven't stopped by this blog since then! :( Anyway....

Those little tent room things (on the 2nd photo) are so cute, lol. <3 Oh, and just wondering - may I ask who "Sue" is? :)

Lola, Sue is my wife and partner in this business. Think about the name for a minute. The name is for the byproducts (waste) of what we make. Dust (me) is for saw dust. Lint (Sue) is for fabric lint from her quilts. Look above top right "PAGES (OUR WORK)". Click on those six lines for "Dust Gallery or Lint Gallery". You'll see Sue's and my work. If you click on the card right below that, you'll be sent to our site. Look around Lola, all your questions have answers at your finger tips. Our booth is in the post here about our first show this year.

Sorry Lola, I answered that as Woodsterman and not me. Same guy ... different blog. Anyway ... what he said ... LOL.

Haha, aww, cool, I never thought about what the title meant.... lol, and wow - those baby quilts were amazing; so bright and colorful. :) I need to explore this blog more + your other ones, as well. *sighs* I keep falling out of the "blogging world", and I'm not even sure why; it's somehow hard for me to stay with it.... Hmm.

I like your photos - were those little things at the front of the wooden items stall children's chairs? All in all it looks a worthwhile event.

Just Lola (Why "Just") .... Lola, I fall in and out of this blog from time to time. So darn busy in the shop while the weather allows. The Woodsterman blog keeps me busy every day. This blogs main reason for being is to get people to look at the web site. This blog is there too.

You and I will work on our blogs ... HUH.

That's a furniture maker friends booth. I believe those are any people sized stools. You can't tell by these photos, but it goes down the street to the right of the stools. There's about 60 booths.

Because I am "just Lola" - nothing more, nothing less; I am who I am, and there's nothing I nor anyone can really do about it. I'm "me", and I'll always be "me" - there's no way to change that. Um, but you can just call me "Lola", hehe. :)

I've actually been thinking about getting a third blog.... Haha, I can't make up my mind.

Lola, a third blog? Wow where did all of that energy come from? What's it going be about? Some of your thoughts maybe? Check out Woodsterpen's blog. I post (or should I say he?) an actual photo of Pen.

Yeah, I feel like my newer one should be more personal than the two I've had. I want my newer blog to be less structured, more fun and just completely random. It'll probably be operated on Tumblr. I just followed "Woodsterpen", by the way; it's so cute and funny - love it. :)

I do think a blog with your thoughts and experiences will work great, Lola. I saw you had been to Woodsterpen. Pen really likes your visits. I owe you a visit ... I see by my sidebar, you have a new post. See those sidebar blog rolls really work.

I'm such a boring person tho' - with boring experiences and boring thoughts.... It probably wouldn't get many readers. Aww, and I'm glad Pen likes me visits; I like visiting him. :)

I have to get one of those sidebars, but I can't think of where I could place it. Of course on the side, haha, but where on the side is my question.

Lola, People like to see their blog on your blog via the sidebar blog roll. On my smaller blogs like this one and Woodsterpen, I like to put everyone that follows on the blog roll. It's how I say thank you for following.
